Cam Knuckey Botanicals – Limited Edition, Hand coloured or Giclee Linocut prints. Still Life & Vases, Mixed Floral Bunches, and Australian Flora.

Cam fills his notebooks and sketchpads with spontaneous ink sketches. Chosen designs are printed onto paper either by Silkscreen or Linocut. He quickly hand colours them using watercolour washes and opaque gouaches. Some hand coloured prints are given gold leaf backgrounds.

Cam Knuckey Botanicals have a particular Australian quality to them and are a popular choice in our gallery.

About Cam Knuckey

Cam Knuckey is a Linocut Artist, Illustrator and Printmaker and grew up in Heidelberg, just north of Melbourne. He studied Graphic Design at Swinburne, then Drawing and Printmaking at Prahran College in the 70’s. Cam worked as an Illustrator for a range of newspapers and magazines. He is best known for his black and white illustrations for the Gardening Supplement in The Age during the 80’s and 90’s.

Cam filled his childhood with Edwardian children’s Book Illustrators like Rackham, Outhwaite and Dulac. His later influences are Art Nouveau curves, Art Deco lines, Arts and Crafts techniques, Tribal Textiles, and Ceramics. Cam lives in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. His artworks reflect the beautiful gardens and local bush in his area.
