Aileen Brown Linocut Prints demonstrate mastery of colour, composition and design, coupled with sensitivity and wit. Aileen is inspired by travel, cultures and lifestyle therefore her images show flowers, animals, people and places.
Distinguished by a particular and unique technical expertise. Aileen Brown Linocut Prints reaffirm the 1920’s practice of producing prints coloured from the block rather than hand coloured. This painstaking process has sometimes included as many as twelve different applications on each print with each needing to be situated exactly to ensure its perfect placement within the overall design.
After each Aileen Brown Linocut Print is lovingly hand made, they are signed and numbered by Aileen. We are offering just a fraction of Aileen Brown Linocut Prints available as Aileen has been a prolific printmaker since the 1980’s. More prints are on show in our gallery.
